STAR stands for Situation, Task, Action, Result. Interviewers use this method to ask behavioral questions. You can use this framework to prepare or keep in mind how you can answer these types of questions.


Analyze the job posting


Highlight the keywords in the job posting that will help you focus on skills/qualities/requirements of the company. Present proof of these important high in your profile



Research the company


Researching about the company you’re going to interview for is crucial. Understand what the company does, what are their offerings and who are the important stakeholders in the company.


Prepare the questions you want to ask the interviewer


Asking questions to the interviewer gives you a chance to open a discussion on topics like what you like in their company culture. If you smartly do this, you can create a lasting impression on the interviewer.


Carry an interview journal
